SUMMARY:2025-2026 CGPS All-Girls Tournament
DESCRIPTION:Open to girls in Grades K-12 in 5 sections. US Chess Federation rated for all sections. Online registration will close 11 pm the day before the tournament. No entries on site! \nEarly bird registration fee is $50 for CGPS students\, $60 for everyone else. ($15 added to all registrations after Wednesday night– within 72 hours of tournament. We have a $20 refund fee.) \nDiscount $5 per paying sibling. Free entry if you are rated over 1500! \nCurrent US Chess membership required: $20 (age 19 and under) \nSaturday 10 am at The Columbia Grammar School Gym/Cafeteria at 5 West 93rd (map) \n\n\n\n\nSections\nRating\nRounds\nTime\nNotation\nByes\n\n\nKindergarten/1st Grade\nAll\n4\nNo clock used\nOptional\n0 or 1\n\n\n2nd Grade/3rd Grade\nUnder 600\n4\nNo clock used\nOptional\n0 or 1\n\n\n\n\nLimited to first 50 players. Players winning their section usually moves up in the next tournament. Electronic score sheets not allowed! \nSchedule: \nThe first round begins at 10am. K through 3rd grade sections end around 3 pm. Other sections finish around 4 pm. The next round will begin as soon as possible after the previous round ends. \nAwards: \nPremier Quads prize: Free entry (value $50) into a Marshall Chess Club tournament. Other sections: Trophies to top 15 in each section. Honored Participant trophies to everyone else. Award ceremonies as soon as possible after each section concludes. \nImportant: \nWe are a nut free tournament! Please do not bring nuts or nut-containing items. \nDo not attend if experiencing symptoms.
